Customer requirements: to provide a robust dosing system capable of controlling the water-fill into a cistern using a solenoid valve, and using peristaltic micro pumps to dose measured amounts of a concentrated sanitizing fluid into the flush water at programmable intervals.
The product: The URSS unit is built around a 7 day programmable digital timer whichs allows full control of the urinal flush rate. Cistern fill frequency can be set to 20,30, 45 or 60 minutes, and additionally the duration of the fill can be varied between 30 & 300 seconds, allowing users to compensate for variations in mains water pressure.
The URSS can be supplied with either one or two micro peristaltic pumps. In the two pump configuration both pumps run simultaneously. This gives the option of doubling the chemical dose volume, or allowing the URSS to dose into two cisterns simultaneously. The duration of the chemical dose is precisely controllable between 2 & 10ml (or 4-20ml using the twin pump configuration). In order to provide chemical compatibility with as wide a range of fluids as possible we have supplied the pump heads fitted with Santoprene and Viton tubing as an alternative to the silicone fitted as standard. A built in 'hygiene cycle' can be activated, causing the unit to initiate a single urinal dose and chemical dose every six hours. This setting is primarily for locations such as schools where the washroom may not be used for prolonged periods of time during the holidays, and this occasional dose maintains hygeinic and malodour free urinals with the minimum of water consumption. A 240v AC transformer is fitted into the URSS as standard. Battery powered units have also been manufactured for specific applications and other AC and DC supply voltages can be fitted to order. |
